DENTAL FILLINGS
A dental filling is a restorative procedure that involves adding a protective substance into a tooth cavity to shield it against further structural damage and avoid the need for tooth extraction later on.
EXTRACTION
Tooth extraction is performed by a dentist and it is a relatively quick outpatient procedure with either local, general, intravenous anesthesia, or a combination. Removing visible teeth is a simple extraction. Teeth that are broken, below the surface, or impacted require a more involved procedure.
WISDOM TOOTH EXTRACTION
Wisdom tooth extraction is a surgical procedure to remove one or more wisdom teeth — the four permanent adult teeth located at the back corners of your mouth on the top and bottom.
If a wisdom tooth doesn't have room to grow (impacted wisdom tooth), resulting in pain, infection or other dental problems, you'll likely need to have it pulled. Wisdom tooth extraction may be done by a dentist or an oral surgeon.
To prevent potential future problems, some dentists and oral surgeons recommend wisdom tooth extraction even if impacted teeth aren't currently causing problems.
ROOT CANAL TREATMENT
Root canal treatment is designed to eliminate bacteria from the infected root canal, prevent reinfection of the tooth and save the natural tooth. When one. undergoes a root canal, the inflamed or infected pulp is removed and the. inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned and disinfected, then filled and sealed.
